Cellulaze cellulite removal by Cynosure

Cellulite is one of the most common and frustrating cosmetic complaints women (and some men) have about their bodies. Cellulite is a condition that affects more than 80% of women and up to 20% of men. It is part of the way your skin is structured, and there is nothing you can do to correct it on your own. No matter how much you diet or exercise, if your body is programmed to have cellulite, you will have it, unless you get a successful cellulite treatment. There are many advertised cellulite treatments out there, but in our experience, only laser cellulite treatments such as Cellulaze cellulite removal by Cynosure are effective.

Understanding Cellulite

We all have a layer of what is called “subcutaneous fat,” fat that is just below the skin. This fat layer gives our bodies contour and softness, and can vary in thickness depending on your proportion of body fat and location on the body. To help structure and maintain this fat layer, it is honeycombed with connective tissue that binds to your skin and deeper layers of tissue. The connective tissue holds your skin down, but it also creates fat chambers that pillow outward, almost like a quilt, creating the pattern of raised and lowered skin sometimes described as an orange peel texture.  To combat cellulite, you need to restructure the fat deposits so they are more even and uniform, something that is best achieved with the heat of a laser.  Do not believe any of the more common cellulite myths you may hear.

The Ground-Breaking New Cellulaze Treatment

Cellulaze by Cynosure. Instead of utilizing a surface laser, it involves the insertion of a small laser cannula into the subcutaneous fat layer. This directed laser energy cuts across the fat chambers, creating a threefold effect that results in a reduction of visible cellulite:

  • Fat in the chambers is liquified and removed by suction

  • The connective tissue strands that create the chambers is released

  • The skin in the treatment area experiences growth of new collagen, which leads to greater elasticity and thickness creating a smoother surface over the subcutaneous fat
